Mildred L. Grant is senior pastor of Revival Center Church, a 501(c)3 nonprofit religious organization dedicated to worldwide Christian leadership—changing ordinary people into extraordinary leaders of tomorrow.

In an effort to pursue her higher calling to dedicated Christian service through full-time ministry, Mildred L. Grant retired from the Chicago Public School System in 2002 where she served for twenty-nine years as an elementary teacher, guidance counselor, and assistant principal.

Mildred is a graduate of the Chicago Teacher’s College, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Education and her Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from Chicago State University.

Mildred has also completed all the requirements (except dissertation) for the Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Loyola University of Chicago.

Early in her career, Mildred worked as an elementary school teacher at Byrd School, Gresham School, and Sutherland School. She also worked as a guidance counselor for nine years at the Vanderpoel Magnet School and most recently worked as assistant principal for eight years at the Rudyard Kipling Elementary School.

Mildred’s community service includes Gresham School PTA (Parent Teacher Association) president for six years; president of the Christian Guild (a nonprofit charitable organization) for twenty-five years; and assistant pastor of the Revival Center Church for twenty years where she now serves as senior pastor.

Mildred was born in Chicago, Illinois and is the wife of Dr. Larry B. Grant, retired principal of the Beasley Academic Center—one of Chicago’s premier magnet elementary schools.

Mildred has been married for over fifty years and has four children and twelve grandchildren. In her spare time, Mildred enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
