Revival Center Church faces many important challenges in the years ahead. At the core of these challenges are both a mandate and an opportunity. The mandate is the Church must work harder than ever before to carry out dynamic and innovative initiatives that will address the needs of its constituencies. In addition, these initiatives must be realistic, practical, and achievable.

For Revival Center Church, the opportunity to fulfill this mandate could not be greater than it is now. We will bring them in (fellowship), build them up (ministry), train them (discipleship), and send them out (evangelism), worshiping the Lord in the process.

Therefore, the fivefold Gospel mandates are:

1. The Mandate to Worship (Love the Lord with all your heart)

The church exists to worship God. When we express our love to God, we are worshipping. We celebrate God’s presence in worship.

2. The Mandate to Minister (Love your neighbor as yourself)

The church exists to minister to people with all kinds of needs: spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical. We show God’s love through service.

3. The Mandate to Evangelize (Go and make disciples)

The church exists to communicate God’s Word. As long as there is one person in the world who does not know Christ, the church has a mandate to keep growing. We communicate God’s Word through evangelism.

4. The Mandate to Fellowship (Baptize them)

The act of water baptism symbolizes identification with the body of Christ. We incorporate God’s family into our fellowship.

5. The Mandate to Disciple (Teach them to obey)

The church exists to strengthen and educate. Discipleship is the process of helping people become more Christ-like in their thoughts, feelings, and actions. We educate God’s people through discipleship.

Revival Center Church’s fivefold Gospel mandates will have dramatic and far-reaching effects. It also provides a broader and sure vision to Revival Center Church’s future than at any time in its history. It is a bold step forward, certain to have a positive impact in the lives of its members and beyond.
