As Christians, we are connected to the Faith once entrusted to the saints, which was preserved in Scripture and handed down devotedly by the churches throughout time. And as with all followers of Jesus, we hold to the core convictions as represented in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds. We are also confessional Christians in that we hold firmly the apostolic teaching as found in the Scriptures, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. This, therefore, is the highest authority in our lives and we submit joyfully to its teaching for we believe it to be the Word of God.

The following is a brief summary of some of the core beliefs we hold dear at Revival Center Church:

We believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God, which Holy Men of old spoke and wrote as the Holy Ghost moved them (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe our God is one, but manifested as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—the Trinity—being co-equal. He is (omniscient) all knowledge, (omnipresent) all present and (omnipotent) all-powerful (1 John 5:7; 1 John 3:20; Proverbs 15:3; Luke 1:37).

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Born of a virgin, He was crucified, buried and on the third day, rose from the dead. Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the Father and whosoever believeth in Him shall be saved (Matthew 16:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 10:12; John 3:16; Romans 10:8-13; Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world (Genesis 1:26; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Romans 3:23).

We believe the first step of man toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance and the essence of true salvation is a spiritual transformation for all believers (2 Corinthians 7:10;

2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 3:10; Romans 12:1-2).

We believe that salvation is instantaneous, yet sanctification is a progressive work of grace

(2 Corinthians 7:1; 2 Timothy 2:21; 1 Thessalonians 5:22-23; Romans 8:13; Jude 24).

We believe in the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, which is given to all believers for equipping and empowering them to witness, bear spiritual fruit, and receive spiritual gifts (Acts 1:5, 8; Acts 2:3-4; John 14:17; Luke 11:10-13; Acts 2:38-39; Ephesians 1:3, 13-14; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).

We believe in the sacraments for believers: water baptism by immersion and Holy Communion, which are direct commandments of Jesus (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

We believe in divine healing by the power of God through faith, prayer and fasting, the laying on of hands and speaking the Word of God (Matthew 8:5-13; Matthew 17:15-21; Acts 3:2-8). However, this does not negate our belief that the medical profession may be used by God in the healing process.

We believe in heaven and hell: eternal reward or retribution and that the one who physically dies in sin without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost (Matthew 6:20; Luke 10:20; John 14:2; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:10; Revelation 7:9; Revelation 22:14; 2 Peter 2: 4-9; Revelation 20:10-15).
